Tokyo –13 October 2009 – Barclays Capital Japan Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Shinichi Tamura as Senior Banks Analyst within the firm’s Equity Research department. In his new role, Mr. Tamura will enhance the firm’s equity research coverage, as part of the global strategic build out of our Equity Research platform.

Mr. Tamura will join from Deutsche Securities in Japan where he was also a senior analyst covering the banking sector. Prior to this he spent six years from 2002 at UBS Securities’ Equity Research where he covered Japan’s major and regional banks. Mr. Tamura has also held positions at A.T. Kearney and Bain & Co where he helped develop management strategies for foreign financial institutions, real estate and telecommunications companies. He joined Mitsui Taiyo Kobe Bank (now SMBC) in 1990.

Mr. Tamura was ranked #5 among Japanese banking sector analysts in recent Nikkei and Institutional Investor rankings.

【2009年10月13日、東京】 – バークレイズ・キャピタル証券株式会社は、田村晋一（たむら・しんいち）を、本日付で株式調査部の銀行セクター担当シニア・アナリストに起用しました。この度の採用は、当社が昨年より推し進めてきている株式業務全般の強化、拡充の一貫となります。

バークレイズ・キャピタル証券入社前は、田村はドイツ証券の株式調査部において銀行セクターを担当しておりました。それ以前は2002年から2008年までUBS証券にて都市銀行、地方銀行担当アナリストを歴任。またA.T. カーニー、ベイン＆カンパニー等コンサルタント会社にて外資系金融機関、通信、不動産等企業の経営戦略の策定に従事しておりました。1990年太陽神戸三井銀行入行（現在の三井住友銀行）。
